Southwest #1: Christopher Byrd

Christopher Byrd is a 29-year-old Branch Manager with Associated Credit Union of Texas ($300M) in League City, Texas.

Synopsis: My current project is working with my Vice President in transforming how our credit union handles home equity loans.

At the moment, home equity loans are done by referring interested members to our Mortgage Department to be contacted by a Mortgage Loan Officer. This could take up to 5 days for members to get contacted.

The proposal is to allow Branch Lenders who already handle personal and auto loans to handle home equity loans and lines of credit.
