Northeast #1: Alexia Mavrakes

Alexia Mavrakes is a 28-year-old Senior Marketing Associate with Aspire Federal Credit Union ($180M) in Clark, New Jersey.

Synopsis: Too many young people must face the "real world" completely unprepared to successfully manage their personal finances. That's why I'm implementing a series of personal finance seminars at Aspire FCU. Through this series, Personal Finance 101, our members will learn the basics of money management, which are too infrequently taught to students in school. This will not only prepare young members for the financial desicions they will have to make throughout their lives, but will also make them more aware of the credit union movement.
